NBU becomes main shareholder of National Depository
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has transferred the state stake in PJSC "National Depository of Ukraine" to the National Bank.
The representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, announced this on Telegram, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The National Bank has been designated as the management body of the state stake in the authorized capital of the Central Securities Depository.
The Cabinet of Ministers' order of November 7, 2013 No. 880 "On determining the management body of the state stake in the authorized capital of the Central Securities Depository" has also been declared invalid.
Previously, this stake was managed by the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of the beginning of the year, the shareholders of the National Depository of Ukraine were the National Bank (25%), the Corporate Pension Fund of the NBU (10.9399%), as well as the state represented by the National Securities and Markets Commission (25%), Oschadbank (24.9903%) and Ukreximbank (9.9903%).
