Ukrzaliznytsia changes routes of domestic and international railways due to night attack by RF

Due to a massive attack on the railway infrastructure on the night of September 17, passenger trains in the Odesa and Dnipro directions, as well as some international ones, are delayed and are running on changed routes. Ukrzaliznytsia reports this on Telegram.

"As a result of the enemy's complex attack on substations, we have delays in passenger trains in the Odesa and Dnipro directions. Some of the flights are running on changed routes, 20 reserve diesel locomotives have already been deployed. Our dispatchers stopped a number of trains at a safe distance from the affected area," the message says.

It is also noted that there will be delays and temporary route restrictions in suburban services, and in the morning it will be impossible to operate the following flights:

o No. 6501/6592 Znamyanka - Shevchenko - Cherkasy;

o No. 6503 Znamyanka - Myronivka;

o No. 6331 Znamyanka - Pomichna;

o No. 6332 Kolosivka - Znamyanka shortened to Kropyvnytskyi station;

o No. 6036 Pomichna - Znamyanka shortened to Sakharna station.

Ukrzaliznytsia also states that regarding international train connections in Poland, the company is currently coordinating transfers and accelerating border control.

"Regarding international connections, in particular in Chełm and Przemyśl, we are already in touch with the dispatch teams of foreign railways and coordinating transfers, train waiting and accelerated border control," the company states.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the russian federation struck the railway infrastructure overnight, a number of trains in the Dnipro direction are delayed due to power outages, and on some routes, delays already exceed three hours.

Ukrzaliznytsia previously reported that russian troops are deliberately striking the railway infrastructure of Ukraine, in particular at key hub stations.
