Verkhovna Rada resumes live broadcasts of sessions for first time since start of war

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has held a plenary session live for the first time since the start of the full-scale russian invasion. On September 16, the Rada TV channel broadcast the session of the 14th session of the 9th convocation of the parliament. The broadcast was also available on Youtube.

Live broadcasts of parliamentary sessions were stopped in February 2022 for security reasons. An exception was made only on July 31, 2025 during the vote to restore the independence of the SAPO and NABU.

On September 4, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution to resume broadcasts, which was voted for by 266 parliamentarians. On September 9, the document was signed by the Speaker of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk.

Earlier, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk stated that parliamentary sessions are not broadcast live for security reasons.
