Russians concentrating strikes against our energy sector – Zelenskyy
Russian terrorist forces are again concentrating strikes on the Ukrainian energy sector, so at a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, technological issues and the protection of critical infrastructure were discussed first of all. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in an evening video address on Monday, September 8.
Zelenskyy noted that the key issues were the availability of air defense systems and missiles for them, the production and supply schedule. According to him, it is now necessary to strengthen the protection of critical infrastructure, primarily the energy sector.
"The Russians are now concentrating strikes against our energy sector again. Of course, our answers to this are and will be, but the main thing is the stability of the system. There were reports on our drone production: the quality of drones, quantitative indicators," the President said.
There were also reports at the meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on the communications infrastructure in Ukraine – mobile communications, network protection. The relevant structures need to work to ensure that all communities have normal access to communication, Zelenskyy stressed.
