Defense Intelligence of Defense Ministry tells about number of Shaheds that russia produces every month

The aggressor country of russia has increased the production of kamikaze drones of the Shahed type. This is up to 2,700 units per month.

This was stated by the representative of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Andrii Yusov in an interview with the TV channel Novyny.LIVE.

According to him, currently the production capacity of the russian federation allows to produce up to 2,700 drones of the Geran-2 type per month - this is the russian name for the Iranian Shahed.

"This poses a significant threat to the air defense system," Yusov said.

In addition to strike drones, the russians also produce a significant number of so-called "deceptions" - drones without a warhead. Although such UAVs do not cause direct damage, they force them to spend valuable resources on their interception.

Yusov stressed that russia is technically unable to produce thousands of Shaheds every day. Instead, the enemy has recently been carrying out combined attacks on Ukraine.

"We see hundreds of Shaheds in combined attacks along with missiles. Massive strikes are a serious challenge for our air and missile defense forces. This is also a challenge for our partners who must help protect the Ukrainian sky," the representative of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated.
