Air defense forces neutralize 36 of 48 drones during night attack by russia

On the night of Tuesday, August 12, russian troops launched 48 drones and 4 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to neutralize 36 drones.

The press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that on the night of August 12 (from 8 p.m. on August 11), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 48 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Bryansk, Millerovo, Shatalovo (all - the russian federation), as well as 4 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh and Bryansk Oblasts of the russian federation.

The Sumy and Donetsk Regions were attacked with strike UAVs, and the Chernihiv Region with missiles.

"According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defenses shot down/suppressed 36 enemy Shahed UAVs and various types of simulator drones in the north and east of the country," the report says.

12 UAVs and 3 missiles hit at 7 locations.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 11, the russians launched 71 drones over Ukraine, and air defense forces neutralized 59 UAVs.

Meanwhile, the russians struck a training unit of the Ukrainian Army's Ground Forces with cluster munitions.
