On the evening of August 2, russian troops carried out an air strike on Kherson, dropping two guided air bombs. The strike hit a road bridge connecting the city with the Korabel neighborhood, as well as residential buildings. A video from the scene of the incident has been released, showing the extensive destruction and consequences of the shelling.
The attack was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to him, the strike took place at around 6:00 p.m. As a result of the enemy attack, a bridge, three private houses and one apartment building were damaged. No information about the victims has been received yet.
Prokudin also reported that the bridge destruction has complicated the supply of products to the Korabel neighborhood. In addition, the shelling damaged a gas pipeline - part of the district will temporarily be left without gas supply.
Residents of Korabel were urged to temporarily evacuate to other parts of Kherson, where they are promised housing and all necessary assistance. Contact numbers for coordinating placement have already been published by the regional administration.
"Our military is in full control of the situation. Any attempts by the enemy to advance will be instantly destroyed," the head of the region stressed.
We will remind you that as a result of enemy shelling of Kherson on the morning of August 2, two civilians were killed and two more were wounded.
