The deputy chairman of the security council and former president of the aggressor country russia dmitry medvedev said that US President Donald Trump's ultimatum to end the war in Ukraine is a step towards drawing his country into a direct war with russia. It was reported by Reuters on Monday, July 28.

Medvedev decided to comment on Trump's statement by reducing the deadlines for russia to end its aggression against Ukraine. The former russian president called the US President's demands a "step towards war" between the two countries.

"Trump's playing the ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10… He should remember 2 things: 1. Russia isn't Israel or even Iran. 2. Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country. Don't go down the Sleepy Joe road!" Medvedev wrote.

There are currently no further comments on the US President's words from russia.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 28, US President Donald Trump said that he was going to shorten the 50-day deadline he gave the aggressor country russia to reach an agreement on ending the war in Ukraine.
