According to local residents, a series of loud explosions were heard in the city at around 5 am.
Meanwhile, governor Vladimir Vladimirov noted that an attack by drones was repelled in Stavropol this morning.
"There are "hits" on the territory of industrial facilities in Stavropol. Residential buildings, the city's life support systems are not damaged. There was a small fire, it was extinguished. There are no injuries or deaths. The information is being clarified," he noted.
It should be noted that the Signal enterprise was founded in 1971, and since 2012 the plant has been part of the Rostec state corporation. As of today, the plant produces active jamming stations for aviation, land and sea use, protection against electrochemical corrosion, etc.
Due to russia's invasion of Ukraine, the plant is under sanctions from the European Union, the USA, Ukraine and Japan.
