Ukraine negotiating with partners about obtaining various air defense systems, not only Patriot - MFA

Ukraine is negotiating with partners about purchasing various air defense systems. It is not only about the American MIM-104 Patriot complexes.

According to RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Heorhii Tykhyi.

According to him, not only the American Patriots are capable of shooting down ballistic missiles with which the army of the aggressor country of russia attacks Ukraine.

There is also a similar system in Europe, this is the SAMP/T anti-aircraft missile complex, which is jointly produced by Italy and France.

Tykhyi added that there are fewer SAMP/T systems than Patriot. Despite this, Ukraine is also negotiating with Paris and Rome about obtaining similar systems.

In addition, Ukraine is working on obtaining less powerful air defense systems that are effective against cruise missiles and UAVs of the invaders. These are additional NASAMS, IRIS-T, ASPID and MANPADS complexes.

"We are not talking only about Patriot, but about a whole range of systems for building such an echeloned, reliable air defense system in Ukraine," Tykhyi said.
