After "good" conversation with Zelenskyy, Trump said he would "maybe" help Ukraine with weapons - media

US President Donald Trump said he was satisfied with the conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, held the day before.

The American leader told reporters on Friday evening aboard Air Force One, the broadcaster's portal arise.tv reports.

Trump said that he and Zelenskyy "had a good conversation, we discussed various issues."

"I think it was a very good conversation, a very strategic conversation," he added.

When asked about the supply of American weapons to Ukraine, the US President said that "we have helped them and will continue to help them."

"The situation is quite complicated. We'll see what happens next," Trump said without giving specifics.

Later, when asked separately about the prospects for supplying Ukraine with Patriot systems, he said: "Yes, maybe (it will happen. - ed.)."

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the afternoon of July 4, a telephone conversation took place between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
