Shmyhal instructs Social Policy Ministry to prepare proposals to strengthen reporting and transparency of charitable collections
After the scandal with Nazarii Husakov, who is suspected of fraud with medical treatment fees, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal instructed the Ministry of Social Policy to prepare proposals to strengthen reporting and transparency of charitable collections.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Control of transparency of charitable collections. After the latest high-profile case, I instructed the Ministry of Social Policy to prepare proposals to strengthen reporting and transparency of charitable collections," he said.
Shmyhal gave the corresponding instruction during the weekly coordination meeting of the government.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, law enforcement officers have initiated criminal proceedings due to possible fraud related to the collection of funds by Lviv activist Nazarii Husakov for the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy.
Husakov confirmed that his crypto wallet was used to transfer winnings from poker and betting.
