Cabinet appoints Karnaukh Tax Service acting head

The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Lesia Karnaukh as the acting head of the State Tax Service.

This is stated in the government order, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Since May 2 of this year, Lesia Karnaukh has held the position of the first deputy head of the Tax Service.

She was born on February 26, 1983 in Yahotyn, Kyiv Region, and in 2004 graduated from the Odesa National Law Academy with a degree in Jurisprudence.

From July 2018 to May 2023, Lesia Karnaukh held the position of a deputy head of the staff at the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine, and from July 2023 until her appointment to the Tax Service, she was a deputy head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada approved the appointment of Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the State Tax Service, as the Prosecutor General by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
