Israel denies its ambassador's claims of transferring Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine
Israel did not transfer the MIM-104 Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, the claims are untrue.
This was stated by the Israeli publication Ynet in the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ynet sent a request to the agency asking it to confirm the recent statement of the Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky.
"This is untrue. Israel did not transfer Patriot systems to Ukraine," the Israeli Foreign Ministry responded to the publication.
According to Ynet, after Brodsky's statement, the aggressor country of russia demanded clarification from Israel on this matter.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the day before, Ambassador Brodsky said in an interview with Marichka Dovbenko that Israel had previously allegedly transferred its Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine.
Recall that in May of this year, The Economist wrote that Ukraine would not be able to obtain a sufficient number of missiles for Patriot air defense systems until at least the end of 2026.
We also wrote that in April, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needed 10 more Patriot air defense systems.
