In the cash foreign exchange market in May, the net purchase of currencies by the population exceeded sales.
In May, Ukrainians sold currencies for USD 1,507.4 million in equivalent, and bought for USD 1,787.5 million in equivalent.
In 2024, the population bought USD 11,054.4 million more than it sold.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2023, the population bought USD 3,362.1 million more than it sold.
According to the results of 2022, the population bought currencies for USD 1,009.5 million more than it sold.
In 2021, the population sold USD 1,214.7 million more in currency than it bought.
In 2020, the volume of cash currency sales exceeded the volume of purchases by USD 1.098 billion.
