State Border Guard Service of Ukraine explains under what conditions booked men can travel abroad
Men booked from mobilization can travel abroad both on business trips and on vacation, if the organization that provided the booking allows vacations outside Ukraine. The spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andrii Demchenko, reported this on the air of My-Ukraina (We-Ukraine).
It is also reported that men can travel abroad if there are no job restrictions and provided that the booking documents indicate that the organization that provided the reservation allows vacations outside Ukraine.
"Booked Ukrainian male citizens aged 18 to 60 cannot travel on vacation if they hold certain civil service positions, fall under clause 2.14 of the Rules on Border Crossing, approved by Government Resolution No. 57, and if the structure where they work has provided information to the State Border Guard Service that they hold relevant civil service positions, and for them border crossing is possible only on a business trip," Demchenko said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Justice reported that the legislation does not provide for a clear procedure for traveling abroad on vacation for booked persons, the final decision is made individually by the border guard.
In May, the Cabinet of Ministers allowed 100% of employees of enterprises critical to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to be booked.
