Almost all "limitedly fit" recognized as fit after new military medical commission - Venislavskyi

Practically all citizens of Ukraine who were previously recognized as limitedly fit for military service, based on the results of re-passing the military medical commission (MMC), are now recognized as fit. This was stated by Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of the parliamentary committee on national security, defense and intelligence, Media Center Ukraine reports.

According to him, more than half of those who previously had the status of unfit or limitedly fit, underwent a repeated medical examination. And almost all of them - 99% - were recognized as fit for service.

"This indicates that at one time the opportunity to be recognized as limitedly fit was a loophole for abuse and for avoiding compulsory military service at that time," Venislavskyi emphasized.

He added that 50% of those re-examined were found fit without reservations, and another 50% were found fit with restrictions, for example, for service in logistics units or support structures.

"Moreover, there are very few complaints about any violations of the regulatory grounds for recognizing fit or unfit," the MP concluded.

Recall that "limitedly fit" must pass the MMC by June 5.
