Woman claiming to be Freddie Mercury's illegitimate daughter undergoes DNA test
A new book about Queen frontman Freddie Mercury has revealed the existence of his secret daughter, who was born in 1976. The woman, referred to in the book as "B", has undergone a DNA test to prove her relationship with the star, The Sun reports.
The woman claims she always knew about her father and was close to Mercury until his death in 1991.
"Fred was and remains my father. We had a very close and loving relationship from the moment I was born and for the last 15 years of his life. He adored me and was devoted to me. The circumstances of my birth may seem, by most people's standards, unusual and even outrageous. There is nothing strange in this. This never diminished his desire to love me and take care of me. He cherished me as a precious thing," the performer's daughter said.
"B" also emphasized the results of the study confirming the relationship with Mercury.
"For those who want to see the evidence of the DNA test, be assured that the necessary verification was obtained, legal services were involved, but such measures are private in nature and are not public," "B" noted.
As previously reported, rumors that the legendary singer has a daughter emerged after the release of the book "Love, Freddie" by journalist Lesley-Ann Jones. The author claims that the star gave her daughter 17 volumes of his personal diaries.
