Trump and putin did not discuss time frame for ceasefire in Ukraine – CNN

US President Donald Trump and russian dictator vladimir putin did not discuss a possible time frame for a ceasefire in Ukraine during a phone call on Monday, May 19. CNN reported this, citing putin aide Yuri Ushakov.

So, when asked whether Trump and putin had set a deadline for a possible future ceasefire during the conversation, Ushakov said: "No, they didn’t discuss that, although Trump naturally emphasized his interest in reaching some agreement as soon as possible."

In addition, Ushakov said that during the conversation there was a "clear impression" that both putin and Trump were interested in a personal meeting. However, Ushakov said that he did not know when such a meeting would take place.

"Both presidents (Trump and putin, - Ed.) are also interested in this meeting being not empty, but productive," he said.
