In April, monetary base up 2.9% to UAH 1.04 trillion
In April, the monetary base, which includes cash in circulation outside banks, as well as bank reserve money and other money, according to the National Bank's operational data, increased by 2.9% to UAH 1,041.296 billion.
This is evidenced by data from the National Bank, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Since the beginning of the year, the monetary base has decreased by 1% from UAH 1,052.113 billion.
The money supply in April increased by 2.4% to UAH 3,536.398 billion, and since the beginning of the year it has increased by 1.4% from UAH 3,488.377 billion.
The volume of cash in circulation, according to the NBU's operational data, increased by 3% in April to UAH 773.059 billion, at the beginning of the year it increased by 1.8% from UAH 759.753 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2024, the monetary base increased by 7.7% from UAH 976.940 billion.
In 2023 the monetary base increased by 23.3% from UAH 792.537 billion.
In 2022 the monetary base increased by 19.6% from UAH 662.499 billion.
In 2021 the monetary base increased by 11.2% from UAH 595.993 billion to UAH 662.499 billion.
The money supply in 2021 increased by 12% from UAH 1,850.014 billion to UAH 2,072.399 billion.
