Russian army intensifies on 2 axes. General Staff reports on aggravation of situation on front
On May 1, 269 combat clashes took place on the front, the hottest axes were Pokrovsk (115 clashes) and Novopavlivka (52).
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Over the past day, the enemy launched one missile and 106 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, in particular, dropped 167 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, the enemy carried out 5,550 attacks, 121 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,628 kamikaze drones for destruction.
On May 4, 269 combat clashes with the russian occupiers were recorded on the front.
Thus, on the Kharkiv axis, five clashes took place in the areas of Vovchansk, Stroivka, and Tykhe.
On the Kupiansk axis, seven attacks by the invaders were recorded during the day.
The defense forces repelled russian assaults in the areas of Holubivka, Petropavlivka, and towards Pishchane, Hlushkivka, and Novoosynove.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy attacked 22 times, trying to advance in the areas of the settlements of Nove, Kopanky, Tverdokhlibove, Kolodiazi, and towards Zelena Dolyna, Lypove, Olhivka, and Ridkodub.
On the Siversk axis, three clashes took place in the axes of Hryhorivka and Verkhniokamianske; all enemy attempts to advance were repelled by the Ukrainian defenders.
On the Kramatorsk axis, ten clashes took place in the direction of Maiske, Bila Hora, and near Stupochky and Chasiv Yar.
On the Toretsk axis, the russian invaders carried out 16 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Druzhba and in the direction of Dyliivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis, the Ukrainian defenders stopped 115 attacks of the aggressor towards the settlements of Hnativka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Novoserhiivka, Stara Mykolaivka, Nova Poltavka, Oleksiivka, and Bahatyr, as well as in the areas of the settlements of Malynivka, Dachenske, Zvirove, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Kotliarivka, Troitske, Andriivka, and Bohdanivka.
On the Novopavlivka axis, the Defense Forces repelled 52 enemy assaults near the settlements of Kostiantynopil, Rivnopil, Novopil, Novosilka, Pryvilne and towards the settlements of Zelene Pole, Shevchenko, and Bahatyr.
On the Huliaipole axis, the enemy attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Vysoke five times.
On the Orikhiv axis, near Novoandriivka, Piatykhatky and Stepove, the invaders carried out three futile attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian defenders.
On the Kursk axis (russia) Ukrainian soldiers repelled 23 enemy attacks.
The russians carried out 317 artillery attacks here, 11 of them from MLRS, and carried out 10 air strikes, during which they dropped 13 guided bombs.
On the Dnieper axis, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 14 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, one air defense system, an electronic warfare station, an artillery system and another important enemy facility.
The total losses of the russian invaders on May 4 amounted to 1,260 people.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 2, 216 combat clashes took place at the front, with the enemy attacking most of all on the Pokrovsk (83 clashes), Lyman (27) and Novopavlivka (23) axes.
