United States interested in peace between Pakistan and India, and russia is interested in war – Merezhko
The United States of America is interested in peace between Pakistan and India, and the russian federation is interested in war.
Oleksandr Merezhko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, chairman of the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and interparliamentary cooperation, has stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian News agency.
"The United States is certainly interested in peace. Russia is interested in chaos, so it can "inflate" any conflict," he said regarding the positions of the geopolitical interests of Washington and moscow regarding the India-Pakistan conflict.
According to him, russia may be interested in supporting chaos and inciting conflicts, as this distracts attention from its aggression against Ukraine.
China, although not interested in a nuclear war between India and Pakistan, views India as its geopolitical competitor and has traditionally supported Pakistan, Merezhko said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the presence of nuclear weapons in India and Pakistan would have a deterrent effect and would not lead to a large-scale armed conflict.
