Not to recognize Crimea as russian and to persuade Ukraine to surrender. Telegraph reveals content of five-point peace plan

Ukraine and its European partners made adjustments to the US-proposed plan for the settlement of the russian-Ukrainian war during a meeting in London.

This is what the Telegraph reports.

The document is a joint vision of the EU and Ukraine on ending the war. It was handed over to US President Donald Trump.

"The first and second points focus on presenting any peace agreement as 'based on international law, not capitulation', with a specific warning about a possible Chinese invasion of Taiwan," The Telegraph writes.

The plan also emphasizes that security guarantees are important to Kyiv "as the price for any promising peace agreement under which Ukraine cedes territory to russia, even temporarily."

The third point insists that Ukraine should be at the center of the peace process.

In the fourth, the US and NATO warn against allowing russia to retain control over Crimea. They add that the precedent would threaten not only Ukraine, but also Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria.

The fifth point is devoted to the Ukrainian army: the Kremlin should not demand its reduction or restrictions on the Ukrainian defense-industrial base.

As a reminder, the so-called "final" peace agreement that the US handed over to Ukraine provides for the recognition of Crimea as part of russia and the recognition of control over the occupied territories. However, the guarantees of security and restoration for Ukraine are spelled out in the document extremely vaguely.
