Authorities pushed "shadow" economy to grow with their own hands - Yuzhanina

A member of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity faction, a member of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Nina Yuzhanina, believes that by restricting card transfers, the authorities have pushed for the growth of the "shadow" sector of the economy with their own hands.

She told this in an interview with the Ukrainian News Agency.

"The establishment of limits and the refusal of banks to serve customers lead to the fact that the authorities have pushed for the growth of the shadow sector of the economy with their own hands," she said.

In her opinion, increased control by the tax authorities against the background of tax increases is pushing business into the shadows.

Yuzhanina believes that after tax increases, people should be given the opportunity to "accelerate", and then strengthen control.

The MP critically assesses the effectiveness of existing control systems, giving examples from the markets of excisable goods and electronic equipment.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Nina Yuzhanina, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity faction and a member of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, believes that the establishment of limits on transfers of funds through the memorandum of banks was carried out under the influence of the state.
