Trump’s State Secretary calls missile strike on Sumy "tragic reminder"
United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the missile attack by the aggressor country russia on Sumy is a "tragic reminder" of why President Donald Trump wants to achieve peace in Ukraine. He wrote about this on his X-account on Sunday, April 13.
On behalf of the United States, Rubio expressed condolences to the victims of the horrific russian missile attack on Sumy.
"This is a tragic reminder of why President Trump and his Administration are putting so much time and effort into trying to end this war and achieve durable peace," the US Secretary of State wrote.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 13, russian terrorist forces launched two ballistic missiles at the center of the city of Sumy.
The State Emergency Service reported that after 6 p.m. the death toll in Sumy had risen to 34 people.
Recall that on April 6, US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink responded to the missile strikes by the aggressor country russia on Ukraine, as she wrote, "from Russia."
