Donald Trump's tariffs collapse shares of Nintendo, Sony and mobile game developers
Analyst Serkan Toto drew attention to the serious drop in the value of Japanese companies after the decision of US President Donald Trump to introduce tariffs on various types of goods from other countries. The expert wrote about this on his page on X (Twitter).
The following companies recorded a fall with specific figures:
- Nintendo: -7.35%
- Sony: -10.16%
- Bandai Namco: -7.03%
- Konami: -3.93%
- Sega: -6.57%
- Koei Tecmo: -5.83%
- Capcom: -7.13%
- Square Enix: -5.23%.
"The mobile game companies do even worse," Serkan Toto noted, but did not specify how much.
Notably, Donald Trump's tariffs previously caused the Nintendo Switch 2 console pre-orders to be postponed indefinitely. Except for the US, the console can be pre-ordered as early as April 8.

French winemakers also said the new tariffs would cause significant damage to the industry.
