Air defense forces destroyed over 4,000 russian air targets in March

In March, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed over 4,000 air targets launched by the russian army over Ukraine. In addition, aviation destroyed 412 air targets, hit command posts, logistical support facilities, as well as places of accumulation of enemy manpower and military equipment.

It was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thus, during March 2025, the air defense of the Defense Forces destroyed 4,043 air targets:

• 1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile;
• 25 Kh-101/Kh-55SM cruise missiles;
• 8 Kalibr cruise missiles;
• 1 Iskander-K cruise missile;
• 1 Kh-59/69 guided aerial missile;
• 2,328 Shahed attack UAVs;
• 805 reconnaissance UAVs;
• 874 UAVs of other types.

In addition, during March, the Air Forces’ aviation carried out more than 580 sorties, including about 200 for fire suppression and air support of troops, and more than 320 for fighter air cover.

Also in March 2025, the aviation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed 412 air targets, hit command posts, logistical support facilities, as well as places of accumulation of enemy manpower and military equipment.

During the month, the unmanned aircraft complexes of the Combined Rifle Brigade of the Air Forces carried out 3,429 combat missions, of which 2,976 were reconnaissance missions using UAVs and 453 were missions using drop-offs and FPV drones.

As a result, the enemy's combat losses were approximately:

• more than 260 people;
• 88 enemy shelters and positions;
• a field fuel and ammunition depot;
• 1 tank destroyed;
• 3 enemy UAV launch sites hit.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of March 30, the aggressor country russia attacked Ukraine with 111 Shahed attack UAVs and launched one ballistic missile. 65 drones were shot down.
