The United States and the aggressor country russia will issue a joint statement on March 25 after talks in Saudi Arabia the day before, CBS News was told by sources familiar with the matter.
The sources said they would issue a statement at 4 a.m. Washington time (10 a.m. Kyiv time).
Ukrainian officials were also briefed, one of the sources told the publication.
"While the details of the statement were not immediately clear, reports shared with the Trump administration from the U.S. technical team in Riyadh seemed optimistic," the sources said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 24, talks were held in Saudi Arabia between delegations from the United States and the aggressor country russia.
The day before, on March 23, negotiations between the American and Ukrainian delegations took place in Riyadh.
