Zelenskyy appoints Kalashnyk as head of Kyiv Regional State Administration

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Mykola Kalashnyk as head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration. This is stated in decree No. 176 of March 24, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"To appoint Mykola Volodymyrovych Kalashnyk as head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration," the decree states.

34-year-old Kalashnyk has been the first deputy head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration since December 2024, and since January he has been acting as head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

In 2013, he graduated from the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics with a degree in "Foreign Economic Activity Management", with a qualification of Master of Foreign Economic Activity Management.

In 2018, he graduated from the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine with a degree in "Regional Management", with a qualification of Master of Public Administration.

Kalashnyk is a Candidate of Economic Sciences.

In 2011-2012, he worked as a customs broker at VENT-SERVICE LLC.

In 2012-2013, he worked as an economist for contractual and claims work, deputy head of the department of the municipal enterprise "Directorate for Management and Maintenance of Non-Residential Fund of the Darnytskyi District of Kyiv". In 2013-2017, he was head of the department for municipal property and privatization of the state housing fund of the Darnytskyi District State Administration of Kyiv.

In 2017-2020, he was head of the Darnytskyi District State Administration's staff.

In 2020-2024, he was first deputy head of the Darnytska District State Administration, temporary acting head of the Darnytskyi District State Administration.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 11, the Cabinet of Ministers approved Zelenskyy's appointment as head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Kalashnyk.

In December 2024, Zelenskyy dismissed the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, who had held this position since April 2023. After that, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed the former head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Kravchenko, as the head of the State Tax Service.
