Israeli Ambassador calls on men who have Israeli and Ukrainian citizenship to "weigh expediency of visiting Ukraine"
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Ukraine Michael Brodsky called on men of draft age who have Ukrainian and Israeli citizenship to "weigh the expediency of visiting Ukraine," as they will not be able to leave the country due to the restrictions introduced.
The Ambassador wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
Michael Brodsky reported that he had a meeting with the head of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Vladyslav Kanevskyi, during which they discussed issues related to the stay of Israeli citizens in Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens in Israel.
Special attention was paid to the situation regarding Israelis of draft age who also have Ukrainian citizenship and who entered Ukraine after February 24, 2022 and now have no opportunity to leave the country.
"Once again, I recommend to all Israelis who have Ukrainian citizenship to reconsider the advisability of visiting Ukraine during wartime. In the event of the detention of a dual citizen, the Embassy will not be able to provide assistance in the matter of departure," Brodsky noted.
It is worth noting that the Ambassador had already addressed a similar appeal to Israelis last year.
