USA denies information about deletion of data on abducted Ukrainian children
Data on Ukrainian children who were abducted by the aggressor country of russia from the occupied territories within the framework of the Yale University project have not been deleted. Earlier, the media wrote that the collected information was deleted after the termination of funding by the US government.
This was announced by the US Department of State spokeswoman Tammy Bruce at a briefing on Wednesday, March 19. Her words are quoted by European Pravda.
The Department of State spokeswoman confirmed that the US authorities have terminated funding for the project, which was implemented at the initiative of the Yale University's Humanitarian Research Lab (Yale HRL).
According to Bruce, the data collected on Ukrainian children within the framework of the project have not been deleted.
"I can say that conspiracy theories or fears that some data have been deleted are not true. This is not so. The data is there," said the representative of the US Department of State.
She added that the information about Ukrainian children was not under the control of the Department of State. The department knows who managed the website where the data was posted.
"We know for sure that the data was not deleted or lost," Bruce said.
As we will recall, the day before, Reuters wrote that the US presidential administration had stopped funding a program in which Yale University was tracking the mass deportation of children from the occupied territories of Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, last Monday, March 17, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak, stated that 1.6 million Ukrainian children are under the control of the aggressor country of russia.
