Foreign companies can no longer buy oil from russia, – Fox News

The general license to buy oil from the aggressor country russia expired on March 12. This means that European countries and allies of the United States can no longer buy oil from russia without the imposition of sanctions by the United States.

Fox News correspondent at the White House Edward Lawrence reported this, citing his own source on Thursday, March 13.

"A source familiar confirms that the General License to buy Russian oil expired yesterday. That means European Countries and our allies can NO LONGERR buy #oil from #Russia without sanctions from US being imposed. A source tells me this is a negotiation tactic to end the invasion," the journalist wrote.

According to him, the administration of US President Donald Trump is focused on stopping hostilities and continuing negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. The US will continue its sanctions policy as one of the key tools to achieve this goal, Lawrence stressed.
