Ukraine runs out of ATACMS missiles provided by US – Associated Press

Ukraine no longer has any of the longer-range Army Tactical Missile System, or ATACMS, missiles, which were previously transferred by the American side. The stocks of these missiles were exhausted back in January.

This is reported by the Associated Press.

An official US representative and a Ukrainian Member of Parliament from the Defense Committee confirmed to Western media that there are no more ATACMS in the arsenal of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

It is noted that this information was announced on March 12 in a conversation with the AP on condition of anonymity.

According to the US official, in total, the US has transferred less than 40 such missiles to Ukraine.

The US representative also reported that Ukraine exhausted its ATACMS stocks back in late January.

“Senior US defense leaders, including the previous Pentagon chief, Lloyd Austin, had made it clear that only a limited number of the ATACMs would be delivered and that the U.S. and NATO allies considered other weapons to be more valuable in the fight,” writes the AP.

Recall that Ukraine has reduced the number of ATACMS strikes, as their stock is running low.
