US continues to share intelligence with Ukraine, restrictions apply to information for strikes on russia

The US continues to share intelligence with Ukraine. The reduction in the exchange affected data that the Ukrainian military could use to strike the army of the aggressor country, russia.

This was reported by CNN, citing two American officials familiar with the matter.

CNN's interlocutors said that the US does not want russia to consider them as actively helping Ukraine strike on russian territory. Therefore, the provision of intelligence was reduced earlier this week.

The officials stressed that Washington is not going to hide from Ukraine information that could help it defend itself against russian attacks.

They added that billionaire Elon Musk's Starlink satellite communications system, which the Ukrainian military relies on at the front lines, is still active.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 5, the Director General of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John Ratcliffe confirmed that Washington had stopped sharing intelligence with Kyiv.

According to the British publication Sky News, the exchange of information that allowed the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike at russian territory was stopped. At the same time, the transfer of other data will continue.

And on March 5, The Economist journalist Oliver Carroll wrote, citing sources, that the cessation of providing intelligence to Ukraine had rendered the HIMARS systems unusable.
