Ukraine will not apologize to Trump for Zelenskyy in White House - Podoliak
Ukraine will not apologize to US President Donald Trump for the conflict in the White House.
This was reported in an interview with El Pais by Mykhailo Podoliak, an advisor to the head of the President's Office, on Friday, March 7.
Podoliak emphasized that President Zelenskyy said everything correctly and tried to convey to the US the idea that it is impossible to persuade the aggressor country of russia to do something. According to him, it is possible to act only by coercion, which Zelenskyy spoke about.
"It is impossible to achieve positive results, counting on voluntary concessions from Moscow. Without coercion from russia, peace negotiations are impossible. Our President is constantly explaining to our partners what kind of war this is and who provoked it... Therefore, we will not apologize for a possible mistake, which did not happen," Podoliak emphasized.
The Ukrainian President was right in form and substance during the White House discussion, the adviser to the head of the President's Office said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 4, the BBC reported that Zelenskyy would not apologize to US President Donald Trump because he "did not offend anyone."
On February 28, during the public part of the meeting, Zelenskyy got into a heated argument with Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.
Zelenskyy said he could still mend ties with US President Donald Trump after their tense meeting at the White House.
