The share of transactions with payment cards abroad in 2024 increased by 0.1 pp to 8.2% of the number and by 0.3 pp to 9.9% of the amount of transactions compared to 2023.

This is evidenced by data from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Such positive dynamics indicate that the payment infrastructure of Ukraine is able to provide uninterrupted and stable servicing of non-cash transactions with payment cards, which in turn contributes to the high level of trust of Ukrainians in non-cash payments.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier about 30 banks and financial institutions reduced the limits on card transfers to UAH 50,000 per month.

From October 1, 2024, the NBU set a limit of UAH 150,000 for half a year per month for outgoing transfers of individuals from card to card (P2P, person-to-person), although before that it considered a stricter limit – UAH 100,000.

In Ukraine, financial monitoring is stricter than in Poland, writes Obozrevatel, referring to the response to the publication from PKO Bank Polski.
