Trump to consider halting military aid to Ukraine on Monday - NYT
A source in the administration of US President Donald Trump told The New York Times that on Monday the American leader will hold a meeting at which the suspension of US military aid to Ukraine, including supplies approved and paid for during the presidency of Joe Biden, will likely be considered.
This is reported by The New York Times.
Thus, in Washington, a representative of the Trump administration said that Trump will meet on Monday with his top national security aides, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, to consider and possibly take action on a number of policy options regarding Ukraine.
These include suspending or canceling U.S. military aid to Ukraine, including the last shipments of ammunition and equipment authorized and paid for during the Biden administration, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal discussions.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Britain, France and other countries will work with Ukraine on a plan to end russia’s war against Ukraine, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Sunday after a summit of European leaders in London.
Meanwhile, after an argument in the Oval Office, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes he can still mend ties with U.S. President Donald Trump after their tense meeting at the White House. He stressed that the talks should continue behind closed doors.
