Ukrainian subsoil deal with US could be signed as early as February 22 – media

The Wall Street Journal, citing its sources, wrote that a subsoil deal between Ukraine and the U.S. could be signed as early as this Saturday, February 22.

"The deal could be signed as early as Saturday, although it has not yet been finalized, sources familiar with the negotiations said. The exact timing could not be determined," the article says.

The article notes that a person close to the government in Kyiv said that U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine and russia Keith Kellogg played a "major role" in finalizing the terms of the deal, "building trust with Zelenskyy and other Ukrainian officials during a three-day visit to the country's capital."
