Truce between Israel and Hamas may collapse. Trump names reason

U.S. President Donald Trump said he was losing patience with the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. The reason was the terrible condition of the last released Israeli hostages.

This is reported by Reuters.

The agency notes that photos of the three released hostages, who appeared gaunt upon their release on February 8, have cast doubt on the prospect of a truce before all 76 Israelis remaining in Hamas captivity are freed.

"They look like Holocaust survivors. They were in terrible condition. They were emaciated. I don't know how much longer we can take that... at some point we're going to lose our patience. I know we have a deal... they dribble in and keep dribbling in ... but they are in really bad shape," Trump said during a flight to New Orleans.

During the attack by Hamas militants on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, Ohad Ben Ami and Eli Sharabi were taken hostage in Kibbutz Be'eri, and Or Levy was kidnapped from the Nova music festival.

Recall that Trump proposed that the U.S. take control of Gaza and resettle all Palestinians.
