4.5 million workers will be needed for successful post-war reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister Chernyshov
One of the ways to overcome the labor shortage may be the future voluntary return of Ukrainians home, provided that the country is safe.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksii Chernyshov stated this on Facebook.
"Today, our state needs specialists in various fields. At the same time, there are more than 6 million forced Ukrainian migrants abroad," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
According to Chernyshov, this is a huge human resource potential. The labor shortage can also be overcome by preserving and developing domestic human capital. This is a multifaceted task.
Its implementation requires reforms in the field of education, mass retraining, economic inclusion, development of women's entrepreneurship, adherence to high standards of healthcare, the return of veterans to economic activity, the integration of people with disabilities and IDPs into the labor market, etc.
"We must create opportunities that will motivate people to work and develop in Ukraine. The return of Ukrainians home and the development of human capital are critically important conditions for the successful post-war reconstruction of our country," Chernyshov noted.
