Russian budget revenues from oil sales fell to annual minimum - Bloomberg

In January, the budget revenues of the aggressor country of russia from oil sales were almost at an annual minimum. The reason for this was the decline in world prices for "black gold" and an increase in payments to russian oil refineries.

This is stated in the material of the Bloomberg agency.

According to the agency's calculations, total revenue from oil and gas sales amounted to RUB 789.1 billion (73% fell on crude oil and oil products), compared to RUB 675.1 billion last year.

Oil-related taxes increased to RUB 572.6 billion. A year earlier, they amounted to RUB 501.2 billion.

State subsidies to russian oil refineries also hurt the budget, the agency emphasized.

According to the russian Ministry of Finance, in January the government paid RUB 156 billion to producers of gasoline and diesel fuel. This amount became a record in the last five months.

In addition, the exchange rate of the russian ruble at that time was RUB 102.3 per dollar, which is about 13% less than a year ago.

Bloomberg noted that revenues to the russian budget from the gas industry increased by almost 25%, compared to January last year, and amounted to more than RUB 216 billion.

The growth in revenues from gas sales is due to increased exports and increased demand in the domestic market.

We will remind, the day before, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev (Servant of the People), stated in an interview with Ukrainian News that only a drop in world oil prices to USD 40 per barrel could deal a significant blow to the russian economy.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 28, Reuters wrote that India and China had practically stopped purchasing russian oil due to the latest US sanctions.

We also wrote that the International Energy Agency stated that US sanctions pose a threat to russian oil export chains.
