Russian combined strike on Ukraine on February 1: Air Defense destroyed 56 attack drones, there are ballistic hits
On the night of February 1, 2025, the russian occupiers carried out a combined strike on Ukraine with missiles of various types of air, sea and land-based, as well as Shahed-type strike UAVs and other types of simulator drones. According to preliminary data, 56 attack UAVs of various types were shot down, another 61 drones did not reach their targets, there are hits with missiles that approach the target along a ballistic trajectory.
This is stated in the report of the Air Forces command on Telegram.
It is reported that in total, the Air Forces’ radio-technical troops detected and tracked 165 enemy air targets:
- 7 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles (launch areas – TOT of Crimea; Voronezh Oblast, russia);
- 7 Iskander-K cruise missiles (launch areas – TOT of Crimea, TOT of the Donetsk Region);
- 8 Kh-22/32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft;
- 4 Kalibr cruise missiles (from carriers from the Black Sea area);
- 8 Kh-101/Kh-55cm cruise missiles from Tu-95M3 strategic bombers;
- 10 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided aerial missiles from tactical aircraft (launch area – Voronezh Oblast, russia);
- 2 Kh-31P guided aerial missiles (from the Black Sea area);
- 123 Shahed strike UAVs/simulator drones of various types (launch areas – Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, russia; Chauda, TOT of Crimea).
The Air Forces reported that, according to preliminary data, 56 Shahed attack UAVs/simulator drones of various types were shot down, another 61 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
Part of the enemy cruise missiles was destroyed by air defense.
A significant part of the missiles, due to the active countermeasures of the Defense Forces, did not reach their targets. However, there are also hits, in particular by missiles that approach the target along a ballistic trajectory.
"We are not yet making detailed information about the enemy missiles public," the Air Forces noted.
Anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare equipment, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the russian air attack.
