"Package for Wounded" will begin to be implemented in 2025. What will it consist of?
In 2025, the "Package for Wounded" will be implemented in Ukraine. This is a set of adaptive clothing and personal hygiene products that will be received by wounded and sick military personnel, police officers, as well as private and commanding officers of the civil defense service.
This is announced in a statement by the Ministry of Defense.
As reported, adaptive clothing was created taking into account the needs of the wounded and people with limited mobility in order to:
- facilitate dressing - it is equipped with special fasteners that allow you to quickly and easily dress without excessive effort;
- provide comfort - the clothing is made of soft, elastic cotton materials that do not put pressure on the body and allow you to move freely. This is especially important for those who spend a long time sitting or in bed;
- improve functionality - loose-fitting clothing, with side zippers, extended sleeves and legs, adjustable waist and pockets;
- support independence - accessible design allows the wounded and sick to dress themselves, which increases their independence and improves self-esteem.
The "Package for Wounded" will consist of a separate list of adaptive clothing and a list of personal hygiene products.
In particular, the list of adaptive clothing will include:
- Adaptive T-shirt
- Adaptive shorts
- Adaptive short-sleeved sweatshirt
- Adaptive long-sleeved sweatshirt
- Adaptive pants
- Socks
- Barracks slippers
- Towel
At the same time, the list of personal hygiene products will consist of the following items:
- Bath towel
- Disposable razor
- Shaving foam (100 milliliter tube)
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste (100 milliliter tube)
- Comb
- Shampoo (200 milliliters)
- Shower gel (250 milliliters)
- Deodorant/antiperspirant
- Antiseptic (30 milliliter tube)
- Wet wipes (pack of 100 pieces)
- Dry wipes (pack of 100 pieces)
- Moisturizing cream (tube 75 milliliters)
- Sanitary and hygienic paper products
- Case (organizer) for the set
Additionally, the following items are included for women:
- Hairbrush for women
- Pads for women, daily and for critical days (pack of 20 pieces)
- Cosmetic cotton pads (pack of 50 pieces)
- Cotton swabs (pack of 100 pieces)
- Hair elastic
Separately included for bedridden patients and patients with disabilities:
- Cup for feeding and drinking for bedridden patients
- Adaptive spoon-fork with a clasp on the sleeve
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Deputy Minister of Defense Serhii Melnyk previously reported on the development of adaptive clothing for wounded military personnel and specialized clothing for female servicemen, which will ensure comfort and functionality.
