Number of battles near Pokrovsk commensurate with number of clashes at entire front - spokesman of Khortytsia OSTG

The russian occupiers are not giving up attempts to surround Pokrovsk.

This was stated by the spokesman for the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Troops Group (OSTG), Viktor Trehubov, on the air of Espreso.

"The plan to surround Pokrovsk by the russian federation remains relevant. This is actually the only possible option for the russians. It would be illogical if they had already started implementing it and then moved on to trying to enter the city head-on. Of course, nothing can be ruled out, these are the russians, but it would only be worse for them," Trehubov said.

According to him, the number of combat clashes in the village near Pokrovsk in recent weeks is commensurate with the number of battles on the entire front.

"The russians are trying to surround the city from the southwest and west. This is their long-term ambition, because you can't do it quickly. But they are trying very hard, this is their main goal and ambition at this stage of the war and their attempts at occupation," the spokesman for the Khortytsia OSTG added.
