Not Yermak. Media find out who was the guest of honor from Ukraine at Trump's inauguration

Ukraine was represented at the inauguration ceremony of US President Donald Trump by one of the key members of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's team. He turned out to be the head of the Servant of the People faction in the Ukrainian parliament, Davyd Arakhamia.

This was reported by the British publication The Independent, citing sources.

The publication's unnamed interlocutors working in the Trump administration said that Arakhamia was given a rare place in the Capitol rotunda to watch the inauguration ceremony.

Arakhamia was one of the few foreign dignitaries allowed to enter the building after the ceremony was moved inside. Among the others were former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

According to The Independent, Arakhamia's path to Trump was likely secured after he appeared as a guest at the Stars and Stripes Union Jack party, which took place shortly before the inauguration.

According to one of the publication's interlocutors, those concerned about Ukraine should pay attention to Arakhamia's presence at Trump's inauguration.

"This is a very important step that shows Donald Trump's intention to secure a good deal for Ukraine at the end of this process. This should calm some nerves," the publication quotes him as saying.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 20, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. This is his second presidential term.

Recall that earlier we published a translation of the full text of Trump's speech, which he delivered at the inauguration ceremony.

As The Associated Press wrote, Trump made a number of false statements in his speech at the inauguration ceremony.
