Zelenskyy proposes Rada extend martial law and mobilization until May 2025
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposes to the Verkhovna Rada to extend martial law and mobilization until May 9, 2025. The corresponding bills No. 12404 and No. 12405 were registered in the Verkhovna Rada on January 14, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In particular, the draft laws propose to approve decrees No. 26 and No. 27 of January 14, already signed by Zelenskyy, on extending the term of martial law in Ukraine and the term of general mobilization from February 8, 2025 for 90 days.
This will be the 14th vote of the parliament on these issues.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 29, the Verkhovna Rada extended martial law and mobilization from November 10 for 90 days, that is, until February 7, 2025.
On February 24, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada approved the introduction of martial law by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in connection with russia's start of the war and the announcement and implementation of general mobilization.
