Including, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages in 2024 increased by 14.1% (in December they increased by 1.8%), for clothing and footwear - decreased by 4.3% (in December they decreased by 3.9%), for housing and communal services - increased by 18.9% (in December they increased by 0.1%), for services related to healthcare - increased by 13.2% (in December they increased by 1.6%), for education - increased by 12.0% (in December they increased by 0.1%).
Compared to December 2023, in December 2024, consumer prices increased by 6.5%.
In December 2024, the core consumer price index was 1.3%.
In 2024, the core consumer price index increased by 10.7%.
Core inflation is a subindex of the consumer price index.
Core CPI (core inflation) is a part of inflation that reflects the dynamics of free prices without taking into account items whose prices are affected by administrative and seasonal factors.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in November, inflation was 1.9%, core inflation was 1.2%.
