Zelenskyy considers deployment of partner contingents in Ukraine to be one of best tools for forcing russia to make peace
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy considers the deployment of partner contingents in Ukraine to be one of the best tools for forcing the aggressor country russia to make peace.
Zelenskyy said this while participating in a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format in Germany, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
He noted that last year France put forward the idea of deploying a partner contingent in Ukraine to bring peace closer. Zelenskyy stressed that as of today, the goals of russian leader vladimir putin remain unchanged – he wants to completely destroy Ukraine and break its partners.
"That's why our goal is to find as many tools as possible to force Russia to peace. I think this arrangement of partners' continents is one of the best tools. Let's be more practical in making this possible. We've heard signals from some of our partners – from the United Kingdom – in support of this. And we have to be brave and offer really strong tools," he said.
Zelenskyy called the Kursk operation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the russian federation an example of courage that proved that most of the russian threats turned out to be a bluff.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy said during Ramstein that this year Ukraine wants to set a record for the number of drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will allow it to stop the enemy's advance.
He also said that North Korea has already lost 4,000 soldiers in russia's war against Ukraine.
