Ukrainian Parliament building damaged by russian attack

The premises where the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine committees meet and the Verkhovna Rada apparatus operates were damaged by another russian attack on Kyiv.

This was announced by Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The destruction occurred during the russian shelling of the center of Kyiv on January 1.

"Despite the damage, the relevant units of the Apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are making every effort to promptly eliminate the consequences of the attack and ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and its bodies," Stefanchuk said.

Recall that on New Year's Eve, russia attacked Ukraine with 111 drones. As a result of the fall of debris from the downed drones, objects in the Pecherskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts of the city were damaged.

During the russian drone attack on the Pecherskyi district of Kyiv, the famous Ukrainian neurobiologist Ihor Zyma and his wife, biologist Olesia Sokur, were tragically killed.

In addition, the drone's debris fell on one of the buildings of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The House of Writers was also damaged - almost no windows remained intact in the building.
