Debris clearance continues in Kyiv’s Pecherskyi district following a russian drone strike on January 1.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) reported this.

“As a result of the attack, 2 people were killed here, 4 more were injured,” the report says.

Emergency workers extinguished the fires. Debris clearance is currently underway.

75 rescuers and 19 units of State Emergency Service equipment are involved in the work.

We would like to remind you that on New Year’s Eve, russia attacked Ukraine with 111 drones. As a result of the falling debris of the downed drones, objects in the Pecherskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts of the city were damaged.

During the attack by russian drones on the Pecherskyi district of Kyiv, the famous Ukrainian neurobiologist Ihor Zyma and his wife, biologist Olesia Sokur, were tragically killed.

In addition, the wreckage of the drone fell on one of the buildings of the National Bank of Ukraine.
